Terms of Use
Plain version
You must be at least 13 years old to sign in. You must be at least 18 years old to submit or publish a video or use private creator and member messaging. Be decent to other people, publish only material you have the right to use, and understand that Resonant Records may hide or remove content, restrict features, or close accounts that break these rules. Using Resonant Records means you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Accepting these terms
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Resonant Records, operated by the Resonant Records team. By using the site, signing in, creating an artist profile, publishing content, uploading media, using the member hub, or using communication tools, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Who can use the platform
You may browse the public site at any age. You must be at least 13 to create an account or sign in. You must be at least 18 to submit or publish a video, use direct messaging, use private creator or member messaging, or use adult-only creator tools. Some countries set a higher minimum age, so you may use the site only if you meet the requirements where you live. The platform is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your account
Resonant Records uses Google authentication. Keep your account secure, use it only for yourself, and do not share access. You are responsible for activity under your account. Signing in creates a normal public-user account. Member, Artist, Moderator and Admin capabilities are granted separately by authorised administrators. We may decline, suspend, restrict or remove accounts where reasonably necessary to protect the label, platform, members or community.
Artist and member access
Member and Artist access is intended for people approved by Resonant Records. Members may receive access to internal profiles, group chat, direct messages, announcements, artist publishing, release management and collaboration tools. Access may be changed or removed. Platform access does not create an employment relationship, partnership, management agreement or recording contract unless a separate written agreement says so.
Acceptable use
You agree not to harass, threaten, stalk or abuse anyone; publish hateful or discriminatory content; publish or request sexual content involving minors; contact or groom a minor; publish illegal material; infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights; impersonate another person or falsely claim an artist identity; upload malware or dangerous links; send spam; advertise unrelated products without permission; break, overload or scrape the platform; gain unauthorised access; bypass age, safety or moderation controls; manipulate plays or exposure; or publish another person's private information without permission. Sexual exploitation of minors is prohibited without exception and suspected illegal activity may be reported.
Artist profiles, releases and posts
Artists are responsible for the profile information, releases, posts, artwork, videos, links and other material they publish. A release may be marked as an Official Resonant Records release using the publishing controls. Resonant Records may correct, hide, archive or remove content or an official designation when necessary. You must have the rights and permissions required for all music, samples, videos, images, artwork, photography, writing, artist names, release information and other material you provide.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you provide. By publishing or submitting content, you grant Resonant Records a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display, technically reproduce, create thumbnails for, embed, link to, archive and promote that content as part of the label platform and its public history. This includes artist names, release titles, artwork and supplied promotional material. This licence allows the platform to operate and does not transfer ownership of your work.
YouTube and external services
The site may display or play content through YouTube and may link to other services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Resonant Records does not control their availability, advertising, tracking, recommendations or behaviour.
Comments and public interaction
Signed-in users may comment where comments are enabled. Users remain responsible for their comments. Artists may moderate interaction on their own content, and moderators and administrators may hide, remove or restore comments or restrict accounts.
Private member hub and messaging
Private communication features are available only to approved members with the required access. The acceptable-use rules apply to group chat and direct messages. Users may block or report other members. Messages are not guaranteed to be end-to-end encrypted. Authorised staff may review reported messages and relevant context when needed to investigate a report, protect users or meet legal obligations. Do not use the platform to contact or target anyone under 18.
Reporting and moderation
Users may report spam, abuse, harassment, impersonation, copyright problems, dangerous links, illegal material and other violations. Resonant Records may dismiss reports, warn users, hide or remove content, restrict comments or messaging, remove private access, suspend or close accounts, preserve evidence, or report suspected illegal activity. We do not promise to monitor everything, but we may act on content we discover or receive reports about.
Copyright and takedown requests
Contact Resonant Records if you believe material on the platform infringes your rights. Identify the affected work, the material complained about, where it appears, your relationship to the work and how we can contact you. We may temporarily hide material while reviewing a complaint.
Suspension and account closure
We may suspend, restrict or end access where a user breaks these Terms, creates a safety or security risk, misuses private access, repeatedly infringes rights, impersonates another person, damages the platform or exposes the community to unreasonable risk. You may request account closure through the contact form. Account closure does not necessarily require Resonant Records to erase legitimate release history, credits, audit logs, moderation records or other information that may lawfully be retained.
The service is provided “as is”
The platform is provided as is and as available. We may change, pause or stop features and do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, external embed availability, any particular amount of artist exposure, or any commercial result.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Resonant Records and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from platform use, loss of access, user content, external services, another user's conduct, unavailable content or incidents outside our reasonable control. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, unlawful use of the platform, or content you supplied without the necessary rights.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes will be handled by courts or tribunals with jurisdiction in Victoria, except where mandatory law gives you a right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these Terms as Resonant Records and the platform develop. The date shown on the page identifies the current version. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
